I am a recent Ph.D. from Cornell University. I grew up in a suburb of Washington, D.C., earned a B.A. in Philosophy and Mathematics at Cornell University, and stayed there for graduate work. I received my Ph.D. from Cornell on May 28, 2017, and taught Business Ethics and Critical Thinking at Pennsylvania State University in Fall 2017.

My central research interests are in the philosophies of language, mind, and logic: I study paradoxes that afflict the notion of truth, as well as the role of talk of truth-eligible states (such as beliefs) in the explanation of people's behaviors and abilities. I am also interested in mathematical and philosophical logic.

In addition to all of the above subjects, I am prepared to lead intermediate undergraduate classes in early analytic philosophy and meta-ethics. More generally, I love teaching and am always on the lookout for opportunities to expand my teaching competence to new subject areas.

In my free time, I enjoy playing the Scottish highland bagpipe, hiking in the mountains, writing poems, studying the ancient and modern Middle East, and learning Modern Hebrew and Korean.

Above you can find pages dedicated to my C.V., teaching, and research.
